Issue Box Theatre is delighted to present “The Exonerated,” a documentary play by Erik Jensen and Jessica Blank. This play is based on interviews with six individuals who were wrongfully convicted and sentenced to death row. Through their own words, these survivors share their stories in a minimalist setting. The cast of actors draws inspiration from the life experiences of these resilient individuals, infusing the play with humor and hope. The play was meticulously crafted using interviews, letters, trial transcripts, and case files from 40 exonerated death row inmates, resulting in the compelling stories of six individuals, including Sunny Jacobs, Kerry Max Cook, and Delbert Tibbs.
Stay tuned for more information about the specific day, time, and location of the play.
