Capacity building sustains our movements to end human trafficking, support survivors, and empower advocates. But how do we do this when multi-year grants for capacity building roles are hard to come by? In this presentation, Calion Winter (a survivor, tech expert, and movement builder) will share an innovative solution to change the way organizations sustain their key operations, programs, and fundraising strategies—all through a type of technology with more capabilities than AI! This training will cover common organizational issues, like the challenge of promptly onboarding survivors into your programs, managing KPI (Key Performance Indicator) tracking, supporting survivors after program exits, and maintaining consistent relationships with the donors that fuel all organizational work. Tapping into current nonprofit marketing and CRM (Customer Relationship Management) research, this training will discuss strategies for both capacity growth and increasing unrestricted revenue. The solutions presented are accessible and affordable for organizations of all kinds, and have the potential to save thousands in overhead each year. This means organizations can shift their funds and focus to impact-making work. These technological solutions also increase disability and language accessibility, create more trauma-informed programs, and prevent staff burnout too. Attendees will walk away from this presentation with a vision for easy and sustainable organizational growth in 2026.
